Jury


The jury was composed of three professional votes by artist Natalia Stuyk, curator Zaiba Jabbar and curators collective Performa (David Barro, Mónica Maneiro and Iñaki Martínez Antelo), and one institutional vote composed of a representative of MMMAD, SMTH, and Nhood.



Natalia Stuyk is a pioneering new media artist specialising in video and installation. Her work explores escapism, ritual behaviour and impossible worlds. She is currently working on interactive projects and installations, creating a symbiosis between the real and the digital, embracing new technologies that move away from conventional digital video.



Performa is a curators collective based in Galicia funded by David Barro, Mónica Maneiro and Iñaki Martínez Antelo. They are a team of professionals with an extensive experience in the field of culture, as producers and programmers of institutions and festivals and as curators of exhibitions and activities related to art, performativity and other creative disciplines. Founders and directors of Plataforma, the performative arts festival in Santiago de Compostela. They are coordinators of Art and Culture at the MadBlue Summit in Madrid, a festival of which David Barro is artistic director. Previously, Iñaki Martínez Antelo was director of MARCO in Vigo, Mónica Maneiro director of DARDOmagazine and David Barro director of the Luis Seoane Foundation and since 2017 of the DIDAC Foundation.




Zaiba Jabbar is a moving image artist, award-winning director, curator, commissioner and founder of Hervisions. She is interested in the democratisation of art and the new accessibility by how we experience art outside the white cube. Her curatorial project Hervisons is an investigation into how people in the margins are using technology to create art outside of traditional formats, making space for themselves through the experience of expanded moving image. She is a leader in augmented reality and digital art exhibitions online and offline working with clients and institutes that include Tate Modern, Tate Britain, Art Night, LUX, The London College of Fashion, Mira Festival and The Mosaic Room.
